The story
Pumice that fell from the sky.
More than 7,000 years ago, Mount Mazama erupted over what is now Crater Lake, throwing vast quantities of pumice into the air. That airfall settled across an immense stretch of Oregon's interior, forming deep, clean deposits of natural pumice.
Beaver Pumice is a family-owned operation working one of those deposits. Because the material arrived as airfall rather than being blasted or crushed from solid rock, what we extract is 100% natural pumice, with nothing added at any point in the process.
The quality of our deposit, combined with a modern processing facility, allows us to produce at the level our customers spec — and hold it there.
